Towing in Ottawa, 24 Hours a Day

Broken down, blocked in or simply not starting? We tow cars, vans, SUVs and pickups anywhere in Ottawa, and we tell you the price before the hook goes on.

You get the price before the vehicle is hooked up.

A tow should be the least stressful part of a bad day. You call, you get a straight price and a realistic arrival window, and then a truck comes and takes the problem away.

What we tow

Our light and medium-duty towing covers almost everything on Ottawa roads: sedans, hatchbacks, minivans, crossovers, SUVs, half-ton and three-quarter-ton pickups, and small commercial vans.

If your vehicle is all-wheel drive, lowered, or a luxury or exotic model, we will bring a flatbed instead so all four wheels come off the ground. Tell us what you are driving when you call and the right truck gets dispatched the first time.

Where we will take it

Wherever you want it to go. Your own mechanic, a dealership, a body shop, your driveway, a friend’s garage, or a storage yard. We are not tied to any particular shop and we will not pressure you toward one.

If you have no idea where to send it (which happens a lot at two in the morning), say so. We can take it somewhere secure for now and you can decide in daylight.

When you probably need a tow

Some problems end the trip then and there. Call for a tow if the engine will not turn over after a boost, if there is a burning smell or smoke, if the temperature gauge is pinned, if the steering or brakes feel wrong, if a warning light came on along with a change in how the car drives, or if you heard a loud mechanical noise and then lost power.

Driving a vehicle in that condition usually turns a repair bill into a much bigger repair bill. A tow is cheaper than a seized engine.

When you probably do not

A flat battery, a flat tire or an empty tank are not towing jobs. Those are roadside assistance and we can usually get you driving again where you sit, which costs less and takes less time. Locked out? That is a lockout, not a tow.

We will tell you honestly which one you need. Talking you into a tow you do not need is a good way to never hear from you again.

While you wait

If you are on a highway shoulder or anywhere with traffic moving past, get out on the side away from the road and stand well back from the vehicle, behind a guardrail if there is one. Put your hazards on. Do not stand between your car and oncoming traffic, and do not try to push the vehicle yourself.

In winter, stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on if it is not safe to get out, keep the exhaust pipe clear of snow, and run the engine only in short bursts for heat. Have your keys and your ownership handy for when we arrive.

What you get from us

  • A price before we hook up: not a surprise after your car is already loaded
  • A realistic arrival window based on where you actually are and what traffic is doing
  • Correct equipment: soft straps, proper lift points, and a flatbed when the vehicle needs one
  • Any destination you choose, with no pressure toward a particular shop
  • A real person on the phone, 24 hours a day, including holidays and storms

Questions about towing

  • How much does a tow cost in Ottawa?

It depends on the distance, the vehicle and the type of truck needed, so we quote you on the call rather than publishing a number that turns out not to apply to you.

What we will promise is that the price you hear before we hook up is the price you pay.

  • Can you tow me if I am not with the vehicle?

Often yes, but it is easier if you are there to hand over keys and confirm where it is going. If you cannot be there, tell us when you call and we will work out the details with you first.

  • Do you tow in snowstorms?

Yes. Winter is our busiest season. Storms do mean longer waits across the whole city, so we will give you an honest arrival window rather than an optimistic one.

  • Can you get into an underground parking garage?

Usually yes, but low-clearance garages need the right equipment, so tell us it is underground when you call and we will send a truck that fits.

  • Will you tow a vehicle with no keys?

In most cases yes. Mention it when you call so we bring what we need, and be ready to show that the vehicle is yours.
