A scrap vehicle is not rubbish. It is steel, aluminium, a catalytic converter and a pile of reusable parts. That is why we pay you for it rather than charging you to take it away.
What we take
Non-running and no-start vehicles, cars written off by an insurer, vehicles that failed a safety and are not worth repairing, rusted-out bodies, accident-damaged shells, abandoned vehicles on your property, and cars with seized engines or blown transmissions.
Missing wheels, missing windows, no keys, no battery, sunk to the axles in a back yard. None of that is a problem. If it is a vehicle and it is on your property, we are interested.

How much is it worth?
Scrap value moves with the metals market and depends on the size and weight of the vehicle, its year, make and model, whether the catalytic converter is still fitted, and how complete it is. A full-size truck is worth considerably more than a small hatchback.
Because those prices genuinely change, we will not publish a number here that is wrong by next month. Call with the year, make, model and condition and we will quote you honestly.
Be careful with anyone who quotes a suspiciously high figure over the phone and then reduces it once the truck is in your driveway and the car is already loaded. Our quote is the amount you get.
Towing is free
We do not charge to remove a scrap vehicle. The tow is included, and you receive the agreed amount on the spot when we collect it.
If anyone charges you to take a scrap car away and also keeps the vehicle, you are paying twice.
Paperwork and ownership
You must be the registered owner or have clear written authority from them. We cannot take a vehicle that is not yours to give away. Have the ownership document ready along with photo identification.
Remove your plates before we take the vehicle. In Ontario plates stay with the owner, not the car, and you will want them for the return or transfer. Contact ServiceOntario about cancelling the registration and your insurer about ending the policy so you are not paying for a vehicle that no longer exists.
If the ownership is lost, ServiceOntario can advise on a replacement. Sort that out before we arrive, as it saves a second trip.
Before we arrive
Empty the vehicle completely. Check the glovebox, the centre console, under and behind the seats, the door pockets, the boot, the spare wheel well and the sun visors. Things turn up in scrap cars constantly, and once the vehicle is gone it is gone.
Take off anything you want to keep: a toll transponder, a dash camera, a phone mount, aftermarket speakers or a roof rack. Also make sure the vehicle is reachable: if it has been sitting for years, check that we can actually get a truck to it.
Have this ready
- Ownership document and photo ID proving the vehicle is yours
- Your plates removed: in Ontario they belong to you, not the car
- The vehicle emptied, including the glovebox, boot and under the seats
- Year, make, model and condition, so we can quote accurately
- Clear access for a tow truck to reach it
Questions about scrap car removal
Do you really pay cash, and is the tow really free?
Yes to both. You get the agreed amount when we collect, and removal costs you nothing.
What if the car does not run or has no wheels?
That is completely normal for scrap. We winch it onto the truck. No keys, no battery and no wheels are all fine.
Do I need the ownership?
Yes. We can only take a vehicle from its registered owner or someone with clear written authority. If the ownership is lost, ServiceOntario can advise on a replacement.
Should I take my plates off?
Yes, always. In Ontario plates stay with you, not the vehicle. Speak to ServiceOntario about the registration and to your insurer about cancelling the policy.
How much will I get?
It depends on the vehicle's weight, year, model, completeness and the current scrap metal price. Call with those details for an honest number rather than a guess.
