Towing in Kanata, Ottawa

The tech park, Katimavik, Bridlewood and the long run out the 417. Kanata is spread out, and we know it well.

Kanata is large, sprawling and a long way west on the 417, which means a lot of its towing calls happen on the highway rather than on residential streets.

The 417 west corridor

The stretch of Highway 417 between Eagleson Road and Terry Fox Drive carries heavy commuter traffic twice a day, and it is where a good share of our Kanata calls originate. Breakdowns in a live lane here are genuinely dangerous.

If you break down on the 417, get the vehicle onto the shoulder if you still have any control, put your hazards on, and get out on the passenger side away from traffic. Stand well back, behind the guardrail if there is one. Then call us. Do not attempt a tire change in a live lane.

Kanata North and the tech park

The office parks around March Road and Legget Drive empty out in the evening, and a battery that died during the workday tends to be discovered at six in the dark in a half-empty lot.

We cover the tech park around the clock. Many of these buildings have large or multi-level lots, so give us the building number and the level or section when you call. It saves a lot of circling.

Residential Kanata and Stittsville

Katimavik, Bridlewood, Glen Cairn, Beaverbrook and out into Stittsville are standard suburban towing: no-starts in driveways, flat tires, lockouts and winter winch-outs.

These are also the areas where we are most often called to move a second vehicle, a project car or a non-runner that has been sitting on a driveway. That is usually a scheduled move rather than an emergency, and booking ahead gets you a better price.

Towing in Kanata

  • Kanata is far west. Do you still come out?

Yes, all the way to Carp Road and out into Stittsville. It is a longer run than central Ottawa, so the arrival window will reflect that, and we will tell you honestly what it is.

  • I broke down on the 417 near Eagleson. What should I do?

Get onto the shoulder if you can still steer, put your hazards on, and get out on the side away from traffic, behind the guardrail if there is one.

Then call us with the nearest exit and your direction of travel. Do not change a tire in a live lane.

  • Can you find me in the tech park?

Yes, but give us the building number and the lot level or section. Those lots are large and poorly signed after dark.

  • Do you cover Stittsville and Carp?

Yes, both. Mention the exact address when you call since those areas spread out considerably.

Stuck right now? Call us.
